This horn is one of seven Elkhart Conn 8D's that I recently picked up on consignment. The previous owner of the horn collection had the horns serviced by Paul Navarro and Chuck Ward over the years. This particular horn is an all original N Series Conn 8D! This horn does not show signs of any previous major dent work. The Finish on the horn is

The serial number suggest the horn was made in 1979
The mouthpiece has some scuffs and an inscription on it
and plays very nicely
