Circa 1860 British Playing Cards I. Hardy Great Mogul Card Maker To His Majesty The Prince Of WalesThis is a very cool antique deck of playing cards from the 1860's that is still in the original wrapper. The top of the wrapper is opened, but the wrapper was never removed from this deck of cards. The graphics on the wrapper are wonderful, and we have provided photos of all angles for your inspection. We have an extremely large selection of unique compacts to choose from

with the well known bee on the clasp

with some wear to the leather

The base of the compact has a sifter net and powder puff

The only issue we could find is that it does have two very tiny holes on either side of the piece that were meant for a prop stand that is no longer present

The compact is just a tiny bit difficult to open

They come in a gold tone Whiting & Davis mesh purse that is in wonderful condition

We haven't seen another one like it anywhere

The only thing we have found is that the frame has discoloration spots due to age

and opens to the Evans stamped rouge behind it

The lid is silver tone and has a pretty central framed plaque with an Asian theme design

It measures slightly less than 3 by 3 3/8th inches
