2007 Coconut Lounge Chair by George Nelson for Vitra in Black Leather with White ShellThis is a single Coconut Lounge Chair, designed by George Nelson. This handsome lounge chair is composed of a molded reinforced plastic shell, with an upholstered black leather seat on a triangular chromed steel frame. Condition overall is very good to excellent with some wear from use. Each chair is dated 2007. See photos. This chair was designed by Nelson in 1955, born of the Herman Miller design studio while he was the resident director of design.

you can note that some of the chrome plating has flaked off on the bottommost part of one leg and exposed the brass underneath (a reflection of high quality manufacturing)

Aluminum is an excellent material for seating as it is lightweight yet extremely strong

We were fortunate to acquire a nice collection of Kjaer pieces

showing some light wear to the leather from use

Each of the chairs is in very good condition with some wear from use (see photos)
