Whiting And Davis Gold Mesh Enamel Purse 1920s Evening Bag Art Deco PurseA beautiful and very unique vintage Art Deco 1920's Whiting & Davis gold mesh and black enamel little evening bag. The piece is in wonderful condition, with no damage to the mesh, enamel or the interior satin lining. The gold tone frame does have some slight tarnish, as does the intricate engraved chain, but it only adds to the charm of this fantastic purse. If the piece was used it doesn't show it from the clean lining, that has no rips, holes,

and has a carved stone center medallion on the lid

No powder or puff remains with this piece

but does show some dark spots from age

with slight scuffing and a couple pin point dimples

This is a lovely little antique late 1800's to early 1900's sterling silver dance compact purse
