Plugs into a NEMA 6 20 outlet (240v 20amp). Overbuilt using 30amp super flexible black rubber cord. Custom lengths available. This cable is for 16amp continuous or lower load. 20amp outlets typically have one straight slot and one "T" shaped slot. The "T" shaped slots indicates backward compatibility with 15amp
