19th-Century Austrian School, Portrait Of A Gentleman With A Bowtie & GlovesThis fine mid 19th century portrait depicts a gentleman wearing a deep crimson waistcoat, white shirt and green grey jacket. He holds a pair of silk gloves in his left hand and sports a large black bowtie. The portrait was acquired from Austria and its interesting to compare his style with that of British gentlemen from the same period.
