Description
Gaia Figure (blue/green)Based on the Aphrodite design, goddess of love and beauty, I wanted to create a powerful Mother Earth piece in support of the Earth Day. Hand painted permanent details and handmade using the traditional copper foil method of stained glass (Tiffany style). Each piece of glass is scored, broken, ground to shape, wrapped in copper foil tape and soldered together using a 60 40 solder (60% tin 40% lead). Black patina is used and it is polished to a shine.
